Empowered women empower women. OWIT South Africa is contributing to one of the six focal areas of the SDG: the economic participation of women as a means to contributing to the SDG. In Africa women are the drivers of economic activity. The barrier to this activity is lack of technological information on trade and markets. This has resulted in most women remaining confined to the informal sector with little prospect of becoming viable legal professional entities. OWIT South Africa is there to build capacity in its members so they can grow their businesses into professional entities.
