OWIT Monterrey began operations in 2017 with a group of women entrepreneurs whose purpose was to assist women entrepreneurs in expanding their services and products around the world through international trade missions, conferences, seminars and networking. Today, OWIT Monterrey has alliances with the State Government through the Ministry of Economy and Labor, as well as with the different strategic sectors of production through the 13 clusters of Nuevo Leon, Chambers of Commerce and Consulates.
In March 2017, OWIT Monterrey signed a collaboration agreement with OWIT Toronto with the aim of promoting trade between Mexico and Canada. In June 2019, our Chapter signed a collaboration agreement with the Secretariat of Economy and Work in the State (SET) with the goal of joining forces to support Nuevo LeĂłn entrepreneurs to internationalize their products and services through international trade missions, conferences, seminars and networking events.
Our Chapter has been present at international meetings with sister chapters from other countries with the aim of promoting trade and foreign investment and achieving strategic alliances with government agencies of other countries.
