September 2026: It was wonderful to see such a strong OWIT presence in Geneva for the WTO Public Forum 2026.
Alongside our OWIT International session on Trusted Digital Trade Corridors for Inclusive Services Trade, the week brought together members of the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) Executive, OWIT UK, Organization Of Women In International Trade (Owit Türkiye) and OWIT Lake Geneva — connecting across our network, participating in discussions and engaging with partners and colleagues from across the international trade community.
That wider presence matters.
OWIT is a global network, but events such as the WTO Public Forum give us the opportunity to bring that network and global voice together in person: to exchange perspectives from different markets and regions, strengthen relationships, make new connections and ensure that the experiences of women entrepreneurs and smaller businesses are represented in the conversations shaping international trade.
It was also an opportunity to reconnect with many of the organisations and individuals OWIT works with across the trade ecosystem — and to open up new conversations about where we can collaborate.
A huge thank you to our colleagues, and to everyone from the wider OWIT community who contributed to such a productive few days in Geneva.
The Public Forum may be over, but many of the conversations started there are only just beginning.
This is what an international network should do: connect, contribute and turn relationships into opportunities for action.
